Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 31, 2026
1. Overview
recliq ("we", "us", or "our") is a natural language search tool for your shell history. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Waitlist email addresses — submitted voluntarily via our waitlist form.
- Usage analytics — anonymous, aggregated data about page visits (no personally identifiable information).
The recliq CLI tool processes your shell history locally on your machine. Shell history data is never sent to our servers unless you explicitly opt into cloud sync features (not yet available).
3. How We Use Your Information
- To send you updates about recliq's launch and early access availability.
- To understand how our landing page is used and improve it.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Retention
Waitlist email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. You can request removal at any time by emailing us at hello@recliq.dev.
5. Third-Party Services
We may use the following third-party services:
- Email delivery providers to send waitlist communications.
- Analytics platforms to measure site traffic (configured for privacy — no cross-site tracking).
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@recliq.dev.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email to waitlist subscribers. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
